This is a hat.

yarn
This is the yarn that I couldn’t stop knitting so I made a hat.
yarn
This is the yarn that I had to buy to replace the yarn that I couldn’t stop knitting so I made a hat even though it was supposed to be mittens for someone.

'nother hat
This is the hat that was already on the needles for a year that didn’t get done because of the yarn that I couldn’t stop knitting so I made a hat even though it was supposed to be mittens for someone.

    No cat in the hat?

Clearly that yarn didn’t want to become mittens.

Nice hat! Obviously that yarn was meant to be a hat. However, I also think that shedir looks pretty good – hope you finish it one day!

    Plus, I wish I had a cat.

I love this little post! And that yarn is definitely yummy looking…. I’m going to have to keep my eye out for some.

haha, very cute. the rhyming reminds me of a story i read as a kid, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.

“There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. I don’t know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she’ll die.”

She kept swallowing bigger and bigger things to that would eat whatever she had previously swallowed until she got up to a horse I believe. Kinda morbid for a kids book now that I think about it.

I love the hat. Even if it was supposed to be mittens. No way would mittens have been cooler than the hat.

The hat is awesome. I can totally understand about not wanting to stop knitting the hat. The yarn looks so smooshy and wonderful!

Love the hat! And the unfinished hat, but mostly the hat made from jasper that you couldn’t stop knitting. I’ve been eyeing that jasper for quite some time and now I see it’s as pretty as I thought it would be.
I do not need more yarn. But I do want more yarn. Do you think the industry has brainwashed all of us? I’ll gladly line up for more. Thanks for visiting Earthly Hues!

Ha! That’s so cool — and guess what, that is the same yarn in the same colorway that my husband picked out for himself at Webs’ end of year sale… and he loved it, too! He’s only knit a few things (pretty much all hats), and he really enjoyed making a hat out of the yarn. I’ll have to blog about his hat, soon : )
